Journal Entry #6: Inside The Dark Web

After watching this documentary i learned that you can find anything or anyone on the internet easy. Also i learned that there is a house that is completely controlled by your smartphone or your tablet. The house is also the thing that i found the coolest because of the fact that you can control your house from your mobile phone is pretty cool.

Reflections on my Digital Life

Digital Media
I was surprised with the answers because they wern't what  i was expecting them to be because I didn't know that that many people used there cell phones that much

1. They compare to my life because i can relate to most of those situations

2. I use Facebook the most because i have most of my friends on there so i can connect with them easier and it is better in my opinion and I use Twitter the least because I find it easier to use other social medias and it is not as interesting

The Digital World
One upside about social media is that people can connect wit friends and family that life close to them and far away from them.

One downside about social media is cyber bullying. It is something that happens often even though people don't know it and they keep doing it.

         Everyday Privacy

This article is about how people don't realize how dangerous the internet and social media can be and also how easy you can track people by there post or even a status

Cyberbullying

CyberBulling is creating more and more problems everyday with teens and even adults all around the world. When the guy said that information gets around quick he's right, it does get around fast! With the internet, these days with a click of a button any information can be anywhere in seconds! Making fun of  people online is just as bad as making fun of people offline. Just because they can't physically hit you, but the words still hurt just as bad. After being a target of cyberbullying, is probably not the nicest feeling in the world.. Watching someone get cyberbullied is even worse, seeing it first hand and no knowing how they feel.

Journal Entry #7: Digital Dummies

After watching this documentary, I realized that over the past couple years, Facebook has been getting more and more users everyday. Today, there is over 13 million Facebook users and 75% of people using there phones don't realize the stuff that is going on around them when the are using their phones. The other 25% of the people are not using their phone and they see everything. The part I liked the most about that documentary was when we had to try to count how many passes the white team made with basketballs. When we were all trying to count the passes a witch walked through the court but we didn't notice because thats not what we were concentrating on. Now days there is an online site called "crackberry.com" used for people that are addicted to their phones and can't go without them so they go to this site to stop there addiction. Also in this video, they said that 10% of people driving are on or using their phones or something not even important at that moment.

Journal Entry #5

I liked Mr. Savoys presentation because i learned stuff that i didn't know before. Mr. Savoys presentation was about the good and bad (mainly bad) about social media and how far our technology has came.
I  learned that people can be very mean on the social media from messaging, sending pictures or even writing for all there friends to see just for a "joke"

Journal Entry #4

Facebook Follies

The other day we watched a documentary about the good and the bad about Facebook. I learned that Facebook can ruin lives because of what people them self put or other people put about someone. This one person robed someone stealing a laptop, money and other things laying around the house and not long later the robber took a picture of them self and put it on the laptops owners Facebook. The robber was then caught because of posting on Facebook.
One good thing that happened of Facebook is one night a girl was bored so searched herself up on Facebook and a guy came up with the same name so she messaged him and they ended up meeting up in person and marrying each other.
I always thought Facebook was for just talking to your friends and family until i heard of a lot of kids getting bullied and people making rumors about other people and theirs a lot of it happening.

Journal Entry #3

I wouldn’t consider myself a “hardcore” gamer but i do like playing games. For a console have a Xbox 360 and only play it a little. When i do play it I talk to my friends that i know and i also talk to complete strangers on it. I have a computer but i don’t really use it and i don’t have or play any games on it because i never liked to play games on the computer. I made my game on Sploder through Retro Arcade and it was pretty easy to make my game on that site. It was cool to see how some games we made because i just made one myself. Even though i seen how they were made and i made one i still don’t like computer games.
